Solergie in the list of the 'Flanders Tech 30'.

CEO Marianne Criel clarified to the editors of BLOOVI...
Stimulating entrepreneurship
Solergie was looking for a scalable solution to power local communities, explains CEO Marianne Criel.
“On the one hand, you have the classic solar home systems, one solar system per family. But that is limited to 12V. Enough to keep the lights on, but not to start a business and make money.
On the other hand, you have mini-grids, solar parks for an entire village or several villages.
They run on 220V and provide more energy, but are expensive and have a long implementation time.”
“Our nano-grid combines the advantages of those two models.
They are quick to install and they provide enough energy to start a small business.
Just think of a shop with a refrigerator, a sewing workshop, a hairdressing salon or even a small cinema.
Larger installations such as a solar turbine or an irrigation pump can also be connected.
Stimulating entrepreneurship is very important to us.
We don't just want to provide people with energy, but give them the opportunity to get out of poverty.”
